Not all those who wander are lost.

“Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves.” – Henry David Thoreau

William Wordsworth wandered lonely and found the glimpse of golden daffodils, a picture in his inner eye. Every poet’s finest work began with that mere wandering.

The word ‘Wander’ is often described as aimless walking but if you look at the philosophical point, there is a link between curiosity and wander. A child curiosity is one of the extraordinary tracts of human mind. Even it does not know its reason of existence, child is trying to navigate the worth it holds in this world by examining things around. At its initial period child is afraid to try new things and parents often held it under the shield of comfort zone. But at its own pace, child learns and began to blossom. All this happens just because of one nature that is curiosity to explore.

Let’s take the case of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, founder of Arya Samaj sect. he redeveloped the philosophy of ancient Bharata ‘Back to Veda’ for modern India. He left his privileged family because no one knew the answer of his questions. His notion about monotheism is the consequence of his curiosity. His life could be normal and full of comforts but passion for finding truth made young Brahmin; a sanyasi who wandered on the banks of Narmada, met with serious dangers but ultimately found his truth.

Many people live a normal life with no serious risks. Perhaps this normal way of living is their happiness, to live inside a shell called comfort zone. Which at first looks like satisfaction but in reality it is nothing more than prison. When individual strive for some attainable or decided goal often they miss to capture the meaning of their existence. They might chive what they want but it is not remarkable. When you wander basically you are aimless but determined to find something. Conscious being of yours attempts to understand things around. Your happiness does not belong to mundane. At one point, these individuals feel like their identity is lost but it is the exceptional point when they behold another perspective.

Women are always treated less than men but project Mars (Mission Mangal) was fully managed by subordinate and weak gender. Nirmala Sitaraman became India’s first full term Finance Minster and before holding this ministry she was doing her job as Defense Minister. We heard and read stories about individuals who targeted odds. They did not come from privileged groups but there was spark to ignite their dreams. Neeraj Chopra whose longing for perfection gave India her first Olympics gold medal.

All these individuals were able to find their meaning because they wandered and peep out their normal life.

The Indian Paradox : Democracy, Communism and National Identity

On the 10th October 2008, the historic deal was signed between India and the USA. A landmark occasion as India began to be recognised as a nuclear weapon state, a privilege that enabled gain access to critical technologies. The core of agreement focuses on the non proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. The deal opens the door for import of Uranium which further leads to peaceful and civilian use of nuclear energy. The deal also strengthens the future image of India at international level. However, being democratic country with a political instability as a feature of Manmohan Singh's government took a unique turn. Criticism was expressed in parliament but the irony is that the opposition party led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji supported the deal but coalition parties threatened the cabinet for withdrawing the support. In my opinion, this is a common situation but the issue that concerns me most is the fact that primary opposition came from communist party also known as "le...

“Climate change is a terrible problem, and it needs to be solved. It deserves to be a huge priority.”-Bill Gates, Founder of Microsoft. Do you experience intense heat more often than your parents and grandparents? It must be a ‘NO’.
